Phish has announced a contingency plan for the band’s planned shows at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena in Stateline, NV on Tuesday, August 31st and Wednesday, September 1st. Due to the hazardous conditions caused by wildfires in the area, the band will instead play two shows at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA on the same dates.
Tickets for the Lake Tahoe shows will automatically be honored on their respective days at Shoreline. Seating at these shows will be general admission, and will have different gate times (5:30 p.m. doors / 7:00 p.m. show).
Fans who purchased tickets from an authorized ticket sales channel (Ticketmaster, Phish Tickets, CID or venue websites) you will have until 5:00 pm. PT on Saturday, August 28th to request a refund. These ticketing partners will be contacting all buyers on Thursday with further instructions.
Tickets to the relocated Phish shows at Shoreline Amphitheatre will go on sale on Thursday, August 26th at 12:00 p.m. PT via Ticketmaster. Please be sure to review Shoreline’s COVID policies, which include required proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test.
According to the announcement, donations to the WaterWheel Foundation at these shows will benefit the Caldor Fire Fund at the El Dorado County Community Foundation, and will be matched by the band. All donations to that fund go directly to those impacted by the fires.
While the new venue for August 31st and September 1st had to be moved far enough away to be safe from the wildfire conditions, Shoreline is still within striking distance of Stateline—Google Maps says you can make it in just over four hours. Plus, this puts Phish back at the famed Northern California shed for the first time since 2015.
