Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes has taken one for the team, rejecting an offer to rework the band’s hit ballad ‘Truly Madly Deeply’ into a spectacularly shit parody jingle for a fast-food delivery company.
“If you knew how much money I turn down and how hard I fight to protect your high school memories…” Daz tweeted last week, alongside a snapshot of the truly rank lyrical alterations requested by the company.

FOOD MOUNTAIN.
Anyway, that should have been the end of it. But instead, an Australian FM radio breakfast show decided to escalate things by actually recording the cursed jingle for real to see how it would have sounded, had Daz decided to sell out and butcher his classic.
