The String Cheese Incident Postpones & Cancels August Tour Dates Due To COVID-19

86

The String Cheese Incident cleared the rest of their August touring schedule by postponing six concerts and canceling two others after a band member tested positive for COVID-19. SCI made the decision “due to the desire to keep everyone safe during this current rise in cases of COVID” and previously canceled shows in Louisville and Columbus.

A show in Charlottesville originally scheduled for Wednesday, August 19 will now take place on April 21, 2022, while a three-night stand at Asheville’s Salvage Station has been postponed from August 20 – 22 to April 22 – 24, 2022. Additionally, two concerts in Wilmington, North Carolina slated for August 23 – 24 will now be held April 26 – 27, 2022.

The String Cheese Incident also scrapped their August 26 – 27 performances at The Big Top in St. Louis and an appearance at the Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain festival. Details regarding refund options for ticketholders will be announced soon.

“The decision was not an easy one, but we feel it is the most responsible given our current situation,” wrote SCI in a statement posted on their website. “We look forward to our next chance to share a magical, musical experience with you.”

Cheese will next take the stage at their Suwannee Hulaween festival in Live Oak, Florida October 29 – 31.
