Khruangbin welcomed soul singer Leon Bridges to share the stage on Sunday at the Hinterland festival in St. Charles, Iowa. The trio teamed with Bridges for “Texas Sun,” the title track from their collaborative 2019 EP at Avenue Of The Saints Amphitheater.

Bridges headlined the final day of the three-day music festival for a set that followed Khruangbin’s performance. Both acts hail from Texas and previously paired up for a November 2019 concert in Leon’s hometown of Houston.

Khruangbin’s set was just the band’s third in front of an in-person audience since the pandemic began and the release of Mordechai last June. The three-piece worked in tracks from the LP during their Hinterland set as per fan reports on Reddit. On Friday, Khruangbin unveiled Mordechai Remixes, a remix album they curated.
