Yola was the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday. The singer-songwriter performed “Diamond Studded Shoes” from her recently released album, Stand For Myself.
The Dan Auerbach produced Stand For Myself arrived on July 30 via Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound. Yola taped her Jimmy Kimmel Live performance of the chart-topping single “Diamond Studded Shoes” at Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound recording facility in Nashville.
“This song explores the false divides created to distract us from those few who are in charge of the majority of the world’s wealth and use the ‘divide and conquer’ tactic to keep it,” Yola said in a press release of “Diamond Studded Shoes.” “This song calls on us to unite and turn our focus to those with a stranglehold on humanity.”
