La Luz Shares ‘Oh, Blue’ Single

La Luz unveiled “Oh, Blue,” the latest single from their forthcoming self-titled studio album. The track arrived with a lyric video with La Luz due out via Hardly Art on October 22.

The Los Angeles-based trio consists of guitarist and songwriter Shana Cleveland, bassist Lena Simon and keyboardist Alice Sandahl. Adrian Younge produced the 12-track follow-up to 2018’s Floating Features. “We both create music with the same attitude, and that’s what I love about them,” Younge said of working with La Luz. “They are never afraid to be risky and their style is captivating. I don’t work with many bands, but I love taking chances on people that share the same vision. We both love to be ourselves, and it was an honor to work with them.”

La Luz previously previewed their new album with tracks “Watching Cartoons,” “In The Country,” “Here On Earth,” “The Pines” and “Metal Man.” Cleveland shared the following regarding “Oh, Blue” on the three-piece’s Instagram page:

“Today we’re releasing ‘Oh, Blue,’ one of my favorite songs from our upcoming album. I’m a daydreamer all the time, but especially when we’re on the road as we so often are. With this song I wanted to convey the sweetly disorienting feeling of traveling and waking up in a different place everyday while being deeply in love and living this kind of parallel life inside my mind. It turned out more beautiful than I ever could have imagined thanks to my amazing bff bandmates and @adrianyounge’s production. I hope you enjoy it.”
