Marble Eyes recently released a new single, “You Can’t Fool Me.” The song is set to appear on the New England-based quartet’s upcoming debut album, Return To The Roses, due out on on October 21 via Color Red.
Marble Eyes announced Return To The Roses in August. The supergroup consisting of bassist Eric Gould (Pink Talking Fish), drummer Adrian Tramontano (Kung Fu), guitarist Mike Carter (The Indobox) and keyboardist Max Chase (Amulus) also previewed the LP with the Gould-penned single, “Tollbooth.”
The band now follows with “You Can’t Fool Me,” which was written by Chase. The keyboardist detailed the song in a press release:
“‘You Can’t Fool Me’ has found new life in Marble Eyes and features an all new guitar and bass
melody during each chorus,” Chase said. “I’ve spent a lot of time in bands over the years and really appreciate how this tune came out with the collaboration of the full band. This is a song about trust in a relationship and these folks aren’t doing too well in that department it seems…but who’s really fooling who?”
