My Morning Jacket Reschedules Alpharetta Concert Due To COVID-19

123

My Morning Jacket changed the date of a show in Alpharetta, Georgia originally slated for tomorrow, Friday, September 3 after a member of the group’s touring party tested positive for COVID-19. The quintet and support act Brittany Howard will now play Ameris Bank Amphitheatre on September 13.

The positive test came despite My Morning Jacket band members and crew abiding by “rigorous safety precautions.” All of the band and its crew are fully vaccinated. Refunds are available at the point of purchase for ticketholders who cannot make the new date.

Read a statement from My Morning Jacket below:

We regret to announce that we must reschedule our Friday show in Alpharetta, GA. Though MMJ band and crew are fully vaccinated and following rigorous safety precautions, a member of our touring party tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week. He has minor symptoms and is expected to recover fully.

Our show at Ameris Bank Amphitheater with Brittany Howard will now play on Monday, September 13. All tickets will be honored for this new date. Door and showtime remain the same.

Thanks for your understanding and support, and we apologize for any inconvenience. Please stay safe, get vaccinated and wear a mask!

The band is scheduled to return to the stage on Tuesday, September 7 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. Brittany Howard opens.
