The Slip will embark on their first tour in a decade this fall. The trio will focus on the Northeast for a series of six tour dates spanning November 11 – 20.
Higher Ground in Burlington, Vermont will host the tour opener on November 11. From there, the band consisting of guitarist Brad Barr, bassist Marc Friedman and drummer Andrew Barr will play Providence’s Fete Music Hall on November 12 and The Sinclair in Boston on November 13. It’s then off to New York City for two nights at Brooklyn Bowl November 18 – 19. The Slip closes out the run at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York on November 20. Tickets go on sale this Friday, September 17 at 10 a.m. ET.
The Slip last played public headlining concerts in 2011. Appearances at the High Sierra Music Festival followed before the three-piece reunited to help JamBase celebrate its 20th anniversary at a private party held in 2019. Andrew, Brad and Marc played a pair of sets more recently at LOCKN’ Farm in Arrington, Virginia last month as part of a mini-festival headlined by Joe Russo’s Almost Dead.
