Tool confirmed tour dates taking place around the world next year, beginning in the United States in January. Tickets for the newly confirmed tour dates go on sale this Friday, October 1 at 10 a.m. local venue time.
“It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road,” Tool drummer Danny Carey stated. “These past 18 months have been trying to say the least but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing them with you.”
The U.S. leg of Tool’s 2022 tour begins January 10 in Eugene, Oregon. The band heads to Tacoma (Washington) and Boise, followed by a run in California with shows in Sacramento, San Francisco, Anaheim and San Diego. The tour continues through Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver and Tulsa. Tool will perform three shows in Texas, first stopping Dallas and moving into February with visits to San Antonio and Houston.
Additional February concerts include a performance in New Orleans and a trip to Florida for shows in Orland, Tampa and Miami. After a few days off, Tool picks up in Boston, rounding out February with gigs in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Belmont Park (New York), Newark and Buffalo. March will see Tool touring through Pittsburgh, Detroit, Louisville, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Chicago, Omaha, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Moline, St. Louis and Cleveland.
Blonde Redhead will support Tool from January 10 to February 10. The Acid Helps will serve as openers from February 19 to March 20. Tool will spend parts of April and May 2022 touring across Europe.
