Umphrey’s McGee‘s next eight concerts have been canceled due to a case of COVID-19 within the band’s team. Shows in California, Texas and Oklahoma originally scheduled for September 2 – 12 will not take place as planned.

“We’re saddened to share the news that due to Covid within the Umphrey’s team, the upcoming shows scheduled in California, Texas & Oklahoma are being cancelled,” explained the band in a statement. “All ticket purchasers will receive a full refund for tickets at the point of purchase.”

The run was supposed to start tomorrow, Thursday, September 2 at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California. UM was then slated to play Oakland on Friday, Los Angeles on Saturday and San Diego on Sunday. Additionally, the sextet scrapped next weekend’s shows in Austin, Houston, Dallas and Tulsa. “We were eagerly looking forward to the shows and despite our best efforts to keep everyone healthy, we have to do what is right. We hope to return to these cities sometime in 2022. Onward & upward,” added Team Umphrey’s.
