Big Thief Announces North American Tour 2022 & Shares ‘Change’ Single

Big Thief continues to roll out new music and tour dates. The quartet laid out plans for an extensive spring tour of North America spanning April 12 – May 14, 2022 and unveiled new single “Change.”

The band consisting of guitarist/vocalist Adrianne Lenker, guitarist/backing vocalist Buck Meek, bassist Max Oleartchik and drummer James Krivchenia begins the trek at State Theatre in Ithaca, New York on April 12. Big Thief then hits Brooklyn, Montreal, Toronto, Washington D.C., Cleveland, Royal Oak (Michigan), Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Denver and Salt Lake City over the remainder of April.

May finds the group heading West for stops in Seattle, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego and Pioneertown (California). A Spotify presale is scheduled for Thursday, October 7 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets then go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, October 8.

“Change” comes after Big Thief shared singles “Little Things” and “Sparrow” in August and “Certainty” last month. As Pitchfork pointed out, Big Thief confirmed to MOJO in a recent interview they are planning to release a 20-song double album in 2022.
