Jeff Tweedy Announces ‘Love Is The King’ Deluxe Edition & Shares Neil Young Cover

Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy will release a deluxe edition of his 2020 solo album Love Is The King entitled Love Is The King/Live Is The King via dBpm Records on December 10. The deluxe version features the original album paired with a bonus disc featuring live versions of all 11 Love Is The King tracks as well as a cover of Neil Young’s “The Old Country Waltz.”

Jeff was accompanied by his sons, Spencer Tweedy and Sammy Tweedy as well as Liam Kazar, James Elkington and Sima Cunningham (Ohmme) to record Love Is The King tracks live in Chicago at Constellation, The Hideout and Wilco’s The Loft facility. Tweedy will be joined by the band and Macie Stewart for winter concerts in Chicago (two nights) this December and in Los Angeles (two nights) and San Francisco (two nights) in January 2022. He also has three solo shows planned for Los Angels December 28 – 30.

Tickets for Jeff Tweedy’s winter run go on sale this Friday, October 22 at 10 a.m. local time. Watch Tweedy and his band cover Neil Young’s “The Old Country Waltz” in a video initially released by the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) in June and see the tour dates below:
