Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy has shared two previously unreleased singles via Sub Pop, with “C’mon America” as the A-Side and “UR-60 Unsent” as the B-Side. The release comes as part of the Sub Pop Singles Club.
Tweedy joins a long list of artists to appear on the Sub Pop Singles Club, including Nirvana, The Reverend Horton Heat, The White Stripes, and Soundgarden.

The record’s A-Side track, “C’mon America”, arrives “from an unreleased group of songs with mostly sci-fi lyrics,” according to Stereogum. It hears Tweedy question America’s next move “now that the world has turned against” us. Though his lyrics carry an apathetic tone, he counterbalanced that apathy with a headstrong strumming pattern and distorted guitar licks.
“UR-60 Unsent” lacks the energy of “C’mon America”. Instead, Tweedy trades that energy for slowly creeping lyrics as he strums an acoustic guitar over the song’s 2:22 runtime. Arriving as “a pitiful tale of an unsent lovesick mixtape, taken from a separate batch of unreleased songs with mostly pitiful lyrics,” the B-Side certainly shows a different look from Tweedy when compared to the A-Side.
