[UPDATE]: CEG Presents has added a pair of concerts to its initial lineup of after-parties set to take place during the upcoming Phish New Year’s Eve run at various venues around Madison Square Garden.
Among the new announcements is a second show from Pink Talking Fish, slated for December 31st (technically January 1st) at 1:30 a.m. at the Grammercy Theatre [tickets, pre-sale begins 10/20 at 10 a.m. ET using code “partytime”]. This comes in addition to the hybrid Pink Floyd/Talking Heads/Phish cover band’s show on January 1st at 11:59 p.m., also at the Grammercy. New Jersey up-and-comers Dogs In A Pile will also host an after-party on January 1st, set to begin at 11:55 p.m. at The Cutting Room [tickets]. CEG has noted that there is still one more show on December 29th at The Cutting Room that has yet to be announced.

[10/1/21]: NYC-based promoter CEG Presents has announced its initial lineup of after-parties set to take place during the upcoming Phish New Year’s run at various venues around Madison Square Garden.
Kicking off the series on Wednesday, December 29th are Spafford at Gramercy Theatre [tickets] and a running of Phish lyricist/Osiris Media co-founder Tom Marshall‘s improv series The DAB Sessions featuring John Medeski, MonoNeon, Eddie Roberts, and the Chase Brothers at le poisson rouge [tickets]. CEG has also noted that an additional 12/29 show at The Cutting Room will be added as the run approaches.
On Thursday, December 30th, Northeast jammers Neighbor will hit the stage at The Cutting Room [tickets] while le poisson rouge will host a special edition of James Brown Dance Party featuring Phish’s one-time touring brass section, Giant Country Horns (Dave Grippo, Carl Gerhard, Russell Remington), alongside bassist George Porter Jr. (The Meters), organist Robert Walter (Mike Gordon), guitarist Eddie Roberts, the Chase Brothers (Jazz is PHSH), and more [tickets].
On Friday, December 31st, CEG will host an as-yet-unannounced New Year’s Eve party at Gramercy Theatre. Finally, the series will wrap up on Saturday, January 1st, 2022 with a pair of performances by Snarky Puppy at Irving Plaza—the outfit’s first full shows in more than two years [tickets]—and Pink Talking Fish at Gramercy Theatre [tickets].
One dollar from every ticket sold as part of the 2021 CEG Phish After-Party series will be donated to Phish’s WaterWheel Foundation.
