Something For Kate have announced the rescheduled dates for their Echolalia anniversary tour, now set to go ahead across March and April 2022.
The tour, originally planned to begin in September, was going to be a massive celebration for the beloved band – marking the 20th anniversary of their seminal album. The tour would also be the first time Something For Kate could tour their latest album, The Modern Medieval, nationally. But, as with so many tours, COVID restrictions and the constant moving goalposts forced production to be halted.
Not to be deterred though, the band has unveiled a brand new full run – tickets remain completely valid for these new dates, though if people can’t attend, refunds will also be available from point of purchase. This Australian tour will be Something For Kate’s first in five years.
‘We’ve been unable to tour ‘The Modern Medieval’ since its release last year and along with ‘Echolalia’ turning 20 this year, we wanted to find a way to celebrate both albums so we decided to play two sets a night. We’ll be our own support band!” the band said when the tour was first announced.
“One set will feature ‘Echolalia’ in full and the other set will be made up of songs from ‘The Modern Medieval’ plus a mix of other favourites. This will be a rare and unique Something For Kate tour. We can’t wait for these very special shows.”
