Garcia Peoples released “False Company,” the opening track from their forthcoming Dodging Dues studio album. The follow-up to 2020’s Nightcap At Wit’s End is due out via No Quarter on January 14.
The psych-rock sextet tapped Matt Sweeney to produce and contribute to the seven-track Dodging Dues. Garcia Peoples previously shared singles “Cold Dice,” “Tough Freaks” and “Stray Cats,” which along with “False Company” forms the A-side of Dodging Dues.
“False Company” features triple-part guitar harmonies from Tom Malach, Danny Arakaki and Derek Spaldo. Meanwhile, drummer Cesar Arakaki propels the song with a sturdy beat.
