Goose is up to its same old shenanigans with the announcement of Shenanigans Nite Club: The Movie. The trailer for the film, set for a Christmas premiere on December 25th, arrived on Wednesday in a shroud of mystery similar to that of the band’s 2021 album of the same name.
A 34-second trailer shared by the band shows footage familiar to fans from the Shenanigans album trailer released back in May. Guitarist Rich Mitarotonda (aka “Frankie Bosco”) and bassist Trevor Weekz (aka “Terry Alfredo”) ride Vespas down the block toward keyboardist/guitarist Peter Anspach (aka “Franz Petit Lupen”) as he enjoys a cigarillo in the recycled footage.
The trailer deviates from previously released material as it’s revealed that tour manager Jon “Coach” Lombardi (aka “Big Earl”) is actually watching the footage on a portable television. A faceless character then steps into frame to address Earl, saying “hey, man. Been a while.” He is identified only by his yellow Chuck Taylors and blue jeans. Of the trailer, the band simply said, “Yo we made a movie”. Goose is proving itself a crop of budding thespians with Shenanigans: The Movie following the releases of Bingo Tour: The Movie and Fred The Film.

Shenanigans Nite Club—the album—marked Goose’s first studio output in five years since 2016’s Moon Cabin. The nine-track LP was the first to feature auxiliary percussionist Jeffrey Arevalo and also included studio takes on live staples including “So Ready”, “Madhuvan”, and “Flodown”.
