Jenny Lewis today released “Puppy And A Truck,” her first new solo single since the 2019 album On The Line. “Puppy And A Truck” arrived via Loves Way with an accompanying lyric video and follows a series of collaborative tracks with Chicago rapper Serengeti over the past year.
Lewis wrote “Puppy And A Truck” and tapped Dave Cobb to produce the studio version. The song has been a staple of Jenny’s sets opening for Harry Styles on the Brit’s current tour.
“Puppy And A Truck” goes heavy on pedal steel and includes the sage advice, “If you feel like giving up … Shut up … Get a puppy and a truck.” Check out the song’s lyric video below:
