Destroy All Lines have announced the lineup for a new festival they’re calling Monolith which will take place along the east coast and in Perth in March and April of next year.
The bill is headed up by two Australian prog rock veterans – Karnivool and COG, who’ll be sharing a stage together for the first time in 17 years.
While the former haven’t released new music since 2013 album Asymmetry, they hinted back in 2019 that album four was on the way, so it doesn’t seem outrageous that they might take the opportunity to road-test some fresh material. COG, meanwhile, have released a string of singles since their return in 2016, most recently 2019’s ‘Drawn Together’.
Elsewhere on the lineup are Melbourne nu-metal outfit Ocean Grove, guitar wizard Plini and post-rockers sleepmakeswaves, with the bill rounded out by Reliqa and Yomi Ship.
The festival run will take place across four outdoor venues, kicking off at Bella Vista Farm in Sydney on Saturday, 12th March. It will then continue to Eatons Hill Outdoors in Brisbane and Reunion Park in Melbourne before wrapping up at Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on Saturday, 9th April.
Early bird tickets for Monolith will go on sale this Wednesday, 24th November at 9am local time (register here), with general sale commencing on Friday, 26th November.
