Skull & Roses Announces 2022 Lineup: Phil Lesh & Friends, Dark Star Orchestra, More

Skull & Roses will return to Ventura, CA in 2022 boasting a lineup featuring Phil Lesh & FriendsDark Star OrchestraOteil & Friends, and Melvin Seals & JGB. The four-day festival will return to Ventura County Fairgrounds on April 7th–10th for its fourth installment following a postponement in 2020.

For the first time in the festival’s history, an original member of the Grateful Dead, bassist Phil Lesh, will appear as one of the headliners. Taking place at the same seaside site that played host to eleven Grateful Dead concerts from 1982–1987, Skull & Roses will feature a turntable stage with continuous music all day and night.

Skull & Roses has evolved from a festival that hosts bands exclusively performing songs of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia to now include those that have been inspired and influenced by their timeless music. The event will feature daily themes, parades, artisans, vendors, local beer and food, as well as yoga, sound healing experiences, and rejuvenating services to help audience members “dance and shake your bones.” New lodging options are also available in 2022, including limited hotel rooms at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach, resort camping at Ventura Beach RV Park, as well as limited onsite camping.
