PBS live music television show Bluegrass Underground will film performances for its next season at underground venue The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee between March 18 – 20. The performances will air as part of the show’s Season XI in the Fall of 2022.

The action starts on Friday, March 18 with sets from Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Cha Wa, Gangstagrass and Brit Taylor. Then, The Milk Carton Kids, Watkins Family Hour, Katie Pruitt and Buffalo Nichols play on Saturday, March 19. Performances from Asleep At The Wheel, Moon Taxi, Shooter Jennings and Adia Victoria close out the weekend on Sunday, March 20.

“At last, Bluegrass Underground is getting back to what we do best: capturing magical performances in a magical subterranean setting,” noted Todd Mayo, Bluegrass Underground creator and co-producer in a press release. “As the second-longest music series on American Television, we’re grateful for our longtime partnership with PBS and WCTE. Together we’re able to bring television viewers a diversity of roots music from one of the most iconic music destinations in the world, The Caverns in Grundy County, Tennessee.”

Bluegrass Underground went on hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Head here to purchase tickets to attend the tapings.
