Ever-prolific menswear guru Todd Snyder is at it again. The designer’s latest collab is a winterized capsule with Clarks Originals that upgrades two of the footwear brand’s most beloved styles—the Desert Boot and the Wallabee.
The limited-edition kicks get a shearling lining, hairy suede exterior and two new vintage military colors–Olive and Khaki.
They also feature military-inspired twill tape on the back ankle, an orange stripe between the sole and insole, signature crepe soles, and an embossed “Todd Snyder” logo on the side, just in case anyone is wondering why your Desert Boots or Wallabees are sporting a luxe new look.
“We looked at some vintage military inspiration for the colors of the suede and the twill tape on the heel, and then we wanted to add a bit of our brand DNA by working in an orange stripe between the sole and insole,” said Snyder in a statement announcing the capsule.
“Some people may think of these old-school Desert Boots as more spring-to-fall, but I wanted to put snow tires on them because I like the way they look with cold weather styles like cords and denim.”
