Deer Tick Cancels New Year’s Run Due To COVID-19

57

Deer Tick canceled their upcoming New Year’s Run in Holyoke, Massachusetts “out of an abundance of caution” as COVID-19 cases soar in the Northeast and beyond. The band was slated to play Gateway City Arts on December 31 (New Year’s Eve) and January 1 (New Year’s Day).

Ticketholders will receive refunds automatically. “We are bummed and truly wanted to celebrate with you guys – we are excited to come back when there’s less risk involved. In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and your families this holiday season,” wrote Deer Tick in a note on social media.

Deer Tick are scheduled to return to the road next month for a three-show swing through Texas supporting Trampled By Turtles. The brief run starts in Houston on January 13, continues in Austin on January 14 and concludes in Dallas on January 15.
