Eddie Vedder will embark on his first-ever tour with his new backing band, The Earthlings, next February. The Pearl Jam frontman will perform eight coast-to-coast shows in support of his forthcoming LP, Earthling. Vedder’s first solo album in 11 years is out on February 11th, 2022.
The new project first debuted at Vedder’s own Ohana Festival on September 24th after Kings of Leon backed out day-of, followed by another performance on the 25th. The band features Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), guitarist/keyboardist Josh Klinghoffer (Pearl Jam, formerly of RHCP), bassist Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), guitarist/vocalist Glen Hansard (The Swell Season), and producer/guitarist Andrew Watt.
The tour begins with a two-night run at The Beacon Theatre in New York, NY on February 3rd and 4th. Vedder and company then head to NJPAC in Newark, NJ (2/6); Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, IL (2/9); The Magnolia in San Deigo, CA (2/15); and YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles, CA (2/17); before closing out the tour with a two-night hometown run at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, WA (2/21–2/22).
