127

My Morning Jacket canceled their upcoming three-night New Year’s Run in Denver. The band made the decision to scrap the December 29 – 31 performances at Mission Ballroom “due to the rapid rise of the Omicron variant across the country.”

The shows would have marked the group’s first New Year’s Run since 2017. Neal Francis was supposed to open on the 29th with Flock Of Dimes kicking off the evening on the 30th and Shannon and the Clams serving as support on New Year’s Eve. Ticketholders will soon receive an email regarding refunds which will be “automatically generated at point of purchase” from MMJ’s “direct ticketing affiliates.”

NEW YEAR’S RUN UPDATE. Due to the rapid rise of the Omicron variant across the country, we’ve made the deeply painful decision to cancel our New Year’s shows in Denver December 29-31.

Our most important responsibility is to focus on the health of our community – our fans, our crew and our families. We know so many of you planned to travel in for a special run of shows, and we’re very sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Refunds will be automatically generated at point of purchase from our direct ticketing affiliates. You will be receiving an email shortly about your refund.

Thanks to you all for making 2021 so great, and we’ll see you in 2022.

The band is currently expected to return to the stage at the Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona on February 27 before heading to Mexico for the 2022 installment of their One Big Holiday destination event.
