158

Phish will play three sets live without an audience on New Year’s Eve and livestream the performance from “The Ninth Cube” presented by Phish Radio & SiriusXM Presents. The concert will livestream for free on Phish’s YouTube channel and at LivePhish.com and simulcast on Phish Radio on SiriusXM starting at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.

Part of Phish’s “Dinner And A Movie” series, the band also shared recipes as part of the announcement that were focused on lemons – including how to make lemonade when handed lemons. Phish also revealed the “Dinner And A Movie” series has raised nearly $900,000 since the start of the pandemic, which has been donated via the WaterWheel Foundation to help various non-profits. The New Year’s Eve edition of “DAAM” will raise further funds for the WaterWheel Foundation to continue to support “a handful of non-profits close to the Phish community.”

SiriusXM have underwritten the production costs in order to provide a free webcast for fans with the aim of bringing the Phish community together to support those in need. After the live broadcast, SiriusXM will host video of the show on the SXM app.

Phish’s song “We All Come To Outlive Our Brains” that debuted during their Kasvot Växt set on Halloween 2018 mentions “nine cubes” in the lyrics. The band’s recent Sci-Fi Soldier set on Halloween furthered the imagery with a new original song called “The 9th Cube.”

Posters originally intended for the Phish’s postponed New Year’s Run at Madison Square Garden in New York City will be available to purchase. Details of the poster sales via Phish’s Dry Goods department will be shared soon.
