Primus confirmed a major extension of their A Tribute To Kings tour that spans April 15 – June 25, 2022. The trio will perform Rush’s iconic 1977 album, A Farewell To Kings, and a set of originals at all 46 dates.
The 2022 excursion, which follows a leg earlier this year, begins at The Criterion in Oklahoma City on April 15. Les Claypool and company then hit San Antonio on April 16 before a trip to Missouri for shows in Springfield on April 19 and Kansas City on April 20. The Kansas City concert and performance in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on April 22 are among a handful of previously announced concerts.
Primus concludes the month with stops in Madison (Wisconsin) on April 23, Knoxville on April 25, New Orleans on April 27 and Huntsville (Alabama) on April 30. The three-piece will be on the road throughout May for performances in Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Indiana, Ontario, Quebec, New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Michigan.
The tour heads west in June following dates in Milwaukee on June 2, St. Paul (Minnesota) on June 3, Winnipeg on June 4, Regina (Saskatchewan) on June 6, Saskatoon (Saskatchewan) on June 7, Calgary on June 9 and Edmonton on June 10. Primus hits Vancouver on June 12 and Troutdale, Oregon on June 14. A swing through California follows with stops in Redding on June 15, Sacramento on June 17, San Jose on June 19, Santa Barbara on June 21, Riverside on June 23 and Long Beach on June 24. The run also features performances in Nevada as a play in Reno is slated for June 18 and the previously announced tour closer will take place in Las Vegas on June 25.
