STS9 Postpones New Year’s Run 2021 Due To COVID-19

As COVID-19 cases pile up due to the recent surge of the Omicron variant, STS9 postponed their upcoming New Year’s Eve run of concerts in Atlanta that were scheduled for December 29, 30, 31 and January 1. New dates for the four shows at The Eastern will be announced “as soon as possible.”

“We’ve been keeping a close eye on the recent surge of the COVID-19 Omicron variant that has been spreading at a rapid rate around the country. With the health and safety of our fans, family, friends, crew/team, venue staff, and the ATL community in mind, we have decided to postpone the 4-night New Year’s run,” wrote STS9 as part of an announcement on social media. “These shows in Atlanta would have been the first we’ve played indoors in two years… and with all four nights almost completely sold out, we felt it wrong to gather together inside and pack out The Eastern multiple days in a row.”

STS9 added with many fans traveling to Georgia after holiday gatherings, “This is a recipe for spreading the virus even more.” Find the full message from Tribe below:
