Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will headline the 2022 installment of Trombone Shorty‘s Voodoo Threaxdown tour. Most dates for the summer run have been announced with a few more to follow in the coming weeks.
The lineup for the second installment of a tour first held in 2018 also features fellow New Orleans-based acts Tank and the Bangas, Big Freedia, Cyril Neville and The Soul Rebels as well as George Porter Jr. and Dumpstaphunk performing the music of The Meters.
Trombone Shorty’s Voodoo Threauxdown 2022 starts at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on June 10. Stops in Boston on June 11, New York City on June 13, Lewiston (New York) on June 14 and Toronto on June 15 follow.
Next up are performances in East Providence, Rhode Island on June 17; Vienna, Virginia on June 18; Charlottesville, Virginia on June 19; Cary, North Carolina on June 21 and Atlanta on June 22. A show on June 24 at a venue to be announced in Grand Rapids, Michigan follows on June 24 along with a concert in Detroit on June 25. Highland Park, Illinois’ Ravinia Festival hosts the tour on June 26 before a stop at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on June 28.
Venues for shows in Salt Lake City on June 29, Seattle on July 2 and Los Angeles on August 10 will be revealed soon. The excursion also includes stops in Bonner, Montana on July 1; Troutdale, Oregon on July 3; Saratoga, California on August 11 and 12 and Santa Barbara, California on August 13. San Diego’s The Rady Shell At Jacobs Park hosts the tour closer on August 14.
Tickets for most Trombone Shorty’s Voodoo Threauxdown 2022 tour dates go on sale to the general public this Friday, December 17 at 10 a.m. local time.
