Today, Vulfpeck unveiled the new single “Disco De Lune.” The track appears on the band’s forthcoming Vulf Vault 005: Wong’s Cafe studio album which is set for release on January 7 through Vulf Records.
Cory Wong produced and contributed to the 10-track LP, the band’s first album since 2020’s The Joy of Music, the Job of Real Estate. The record continues the band’s Vulf Vault series and contains previously unreleased material. Vulf Vault 005: Wong’s Cafe features five songs tracked pre-pandemic and five others laid down “over the last few months.”
“Disco De Lune,” which arrives with an in-studio video, was composed by Jack Stratton. Both Stratton and Woody Goss play piano on the track while Joey Dosik is on Fender Rhodes and Wong provides funky guitar work. The Vulfpeck rhythm section for “Disco De Lune” consists of Theo Katzman on drums and bassist Joe Dart. Pre-order Vulf Vault 005: Wong’s Cafe on vinyl here.
