Deer Tick posted a video of the band covering John Prine’s classic “Christmas In Prison.” The clip was shared to kick off the group’s “12 Days of Tickmas” celebration.
Prine wrote “Christmas In Prison” for his 1973 album, Sweet Revenge, and it later appeared on his 1994 holiday album, A John Prine Christmas. The late, beloved singer-songwriter was fond of the holiday, keeping a Christmas tree in his house year-round.
Deer Tick’s ongoing “12 Days Of Tickmas” features a variety of special offers, giveaways and other surprises. The band will ring in the new year on December 31 with the first of two concerts at Gateway City Arts in Holyoke, Massachusetts.
