Widespread Panic Postpones Atlanta New Year’s Run To Summer 2022

Widespread Panic is the latest band to postpone its highly anticipated 2021–2022 New Year’s festivities amid an ongoing surge in new cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19. The four shows scheduled to take place at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta on December 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st, 2021 have been rescheduled to August 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th, 2022.

Tickets purchased for the 2021 Widespread Panic New Year’s run will be honored at the corresponding date in August 2022, with no action required on the part of the ticket-holder (12/28/21 tickets will be honored on 8/10/22; 12/29/21 tickets will be honored on 8/11/22; 12/30/21 tickets will be honored on 8/12/22; 12/31 tickets will be honored on 8/13/22).

Fans who are unable to attend the new show dates can request a refund by emailing the ticket office at [email protected] any time from now through Friday, February 4th, 2022 at 10 a.m. ET or by calling the ticket office at 855-285-8499 beginning Monday, December 27th, 2021 at 10 a.m. ET.

The note from the band on the postponement ended with, “We look forward to seeing you soon!” As of this publication, the band has not yet commented on the status of its upcoming shows at New York’s Beacon Theatre on January 13th–17th—which were previously rescheduled to 2022 from their initial dates in September 2021—or the tenth edition of Panic en La Playa in Riviera Maya, Mexico, due to take place from January 22nd–25th.
