Brockhampton Announces “Indefinite Hiatus” Following Coachella Sets

87

Brockhampton has announced an “indefinite hiatus” following its performances at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The hip-hop boyband has scrapped plans for a scheduled 2022 tour in support of last year’s Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine.

Following a pair of shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 7th and 8th, Brockhampton will perform at Coachella on April 16th and 23rd in Indio, CA. After that, the group—which strived to take back the term “boyband,” boasting 14 members including vocalists, producers, graphic designers, and more—will go on indefinite hiatus.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being on this journey with us,” Brockhampton wrote on Instagram. “We would not be here without our fans. We hope we’ve been able to inspire you as much as you have us these past eight years. We are bonded and grateful to you for life.”

All ticket-holders for the 2022 tour can receive refunds through the point of purchase. Brockhampton will perform alongside headliners Harry Styles, Ye (formerly known as Kanye West), Billie EilishSwedish House Mafia, and more at the long-awaited Coachella festival this spring.
