Adelaide’s Spin Off festival has announced its 2022 lineup. Despite prevailing COVID uncertainty, the organisers are optimistic the 2022 event will go ahead as planned in July.
They’ve convinced a number of big name local and international artists that’ll be the case, too. Hottest 100 winning British indie pop crew Glass Animals will headline the event alongside Hottest 100 runners up, Fremantle indie rock quartet Spacey Jane.
Southern American hip hop artist Jack Harlow – known for his vocal feature on Lil Nas X’s ‘Industry Baby’ and the solo singles ‘Whats Poppin’ and ‘I Wanna See Some Ass’ – is also lined up for Spin Off 2022.
Two other international acts feature in the first lineup announcement: internet phenomenon Oliver Tree, whose viral hit, ‘Life Goes On’, was recently reissued with added vocals from Trippie Redd and Ski Mask The Slump God, and 18 year old Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae, whose 2020 single, ‘You Broke Me First’, achieved ARIA 3x Platinum certification.
A host of adored Australian acts round out the lineup including Brisbane festival faves Ball Park Music, genre-defying ARIA champion Genesis Owusu, as well as G Flip, The Chats, Beddy Rays and Teenage Joans.
Spin Off 2022 will take place at Adelaide Showground on Friday, 22nd July. It’s a licensed all ages event. Tickets go on sale next Monday, 24th January at 9am local time. Pre-sales open on Friday, 21st January at 9am. Sign up for pre-sales here.
