Guster Postpones Winter Tour 2022 Due To COVID-19

77

Guster postponed their upcoming winter tour that was scheduled to begin on January 13 and conclude on January 23. The band made the decision in the wake of COVID-19 numbers spiking due to the Omicron variant.

“We will tour when we can focus on music and joy rather than avoiding infection,” wrote Guster in an announcement on social feeds. “We really really wanted to make it happen but our timing was incredibly bad. Most of our fans communicated that they weren’t comfortable seeing indoor shows this month. It is just what it is!”

Shows in Boston originally slated for January 15 and 16 will now take place May 21 and 22. Tickets for the 15th will be valid on May 21 with tickets for January 16 valid on May 22. Rescheduled dates for the rest of the run are in the works. Refunds for ticketholders who cannot attend the new Boston dates can be requested from Ticketmaster or the box office until February 4. Those holding tickets for the other shows will be able to request a refund when new dates are announced.

A shirt for the tour with the dates crossed out is on sale now here. Proceeds will benefit the band and its crew.
