Joni Mitchell pulled music from her Spotify catalog. In a post on Mitchell’s website, the legendary singer-songwriter noted that she stands “in solidarity with Neil Young” as well as the scientific and medical communities.
Mitchell’s longtime friend Neil Young recently removed his catalog from Spotify in protest of COVID-19 misinformation on the streaming platform chiefly from the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and its host Joe Rogan. Mitchell’s website post title is “I Stand With Neil Young!” Read the full note below:
I’ve decided to remove all my music from Spotify. Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives. I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue. —Joni Mitchell
