[UPDATE 1/21/22]: Silk Sonic has added 12 new dates to its debut run of concerts at Las Vegas, NV’s Dolby Live, bringing the total length of the residency to 25 shows.
The newly added shows, revealed as tickets for the initial thirteen dates went on sale, extend the residency’s closing from early April to late May. See below for a full list of dates. Tickets for all upcoming Silk Sonic shows are now on sale here.
[1/19/22]: Silk Sonic, the super-duo fronted by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, will make its live debut in front of ticketed audiences with an extended residency at Dolby Live at the Park MGM in Las Vegas, NV.
The shows will take place on assorted days throughout late February, all of March, and into April 2022. Pre-sale tickets for all Silk Sonic shows at Dolby Live begins Wednesday, January 19th at 12:00 p.m. PST. General public on-sale will begin on Friday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m. PST. Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, and company have kept busy on the promotional circuit, logging characteristically lavish, retro performances at showcases like the Grammy Awards, the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the AMAs, and the Soul Train Awards. These 13 shows, however, will mark the first time Silk Sonic invites fans to slide their way on over to join them in person.
The debut Silk Sonic concerts in Vegas follow the runaway success of An Evening With Silk Sonic, the group’s first album, released back in October 2021. Read Live For Live Music‘s review of the debut Silk Sonic album here.
While An Evening With Silk Sonic was released too late in 2021 to be eligible for Grammy consideration in 2022, the album’s lead single, “Leave The Door Open”, is up for a number of awards at this year’s ceremony—now also due to take place in Las Vegas in late April—including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
