Greensky Bluegrass Welcomes The Infamous Stringdusters’ Chris Pandolfi In St. Paul

Greensky Bluegrass and The Infamous Stringdusters stopped by the Palace Theatre in St. Paul, Minnesota on Sunday. GSBG welcomed Dusters banjo player Chris Pandolfi once again, after joining the band in Philadelphia, to help close out the second set.

Greensky Bluegrass began the show with “Monument,” a single from their recently released album, Stress Dreams. The 2022 debut of “Can’t Make Time” followed ahead of “Take Cover.” “Before Bring Out Your Dead” and “Bring Out Your Dead” prefaced “Cold Feet” and “New Rize Hill.” Greensky then delivered “Broken Highways” for the first time since August 2021. A pairing of Strees Dreams cuts “Worried For You” and “Grow Together” closed out the first frame.

GSBG kept up the Strees Dreams tracks with “Give A Shit” to open the second set.” “Blood Sucking F(r)iends,” “All Four” and “Like Reflections” followed. The quintet then coupled “More Of Me” with “Tarpology” before welcoming Pandolfi beginning with “The Radio Blues.”

Chris also lent some picking to “Past My Prime.” Mandolinist Paul Hoffman led the group through the first verses before Pandolfi delivered a shimmering, cascading solo. Pandolfi helped Greensky close out the second set with “Living Over.” GSBG returned to encore with “The Reverend.”
