My Morning Jacket announced their U.S. tour dates for 2022. The run spans April 19 through September 24 with support including Joy Oladokun, Madison Cunningham and Indigo De Souza.
The first portion of the trek starts in Tennessee with shows in Memphis on April 19 and Knoxville on April 20. A concert in Raleigh, North Carolina on April 22 will be followed by appearances at the High Water and Moon Crush festivals. It’s then off to Texas for performances in Houston on April 27, Dallas on April 28 and Austin on April 29. Madison Cunningham opens all April MMJ headlining shows.
After performing at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees on May 1 and taking some time off, My Morning Jacket returns to the road to start the summer leg at Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion on June 21 and at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE on June 22. The band then heads to their hometown of Louisville for shows at Iroquois Amphitheater on June 24 and at Waterfront Park on June 25. MMJ hasn’t played Louisville in six years. River City Drum Corps and Kiana & the Sun Kings are aboard as special guests on the 24th with the Louisville Leopard Percussionists serving as special guests on the 25th. Tickets for the Iroquois Amphitheater will only be available as part of bundles with tickets for Waterfront Park.
My Morning Jacket follows the hometown concerts with shows in Rochester Hills, Michigan on June 28; Columbus, Ohio on June 29; Madison, Wisconsin on July 1 and Chicago on July 2. Indigo de Souza serves as support for all June and July MMJ shows except for Louisville.
The quintet gets an August leg underway in Redmond, Washington on August 11. My Morning Jacket then heads to Bend, Oregon on August 12 before a swing through California for shows in Palo Alto on August 14, Santa Barbara on August 16 and Los Angeles on August 17. Next comes a concert in Taos, New Mexico on August 19. The band completes the month in Colorado with two-night stands at the Dillon Amphitheater in Dillon on August 23 and 24 and at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison on August 26 and 27.
Jim James and his bandmates finish the tour in September with shows in New Haven, Connecticut on September 16; Charlottesville, Virginia on September 19; Wilmington, North Carolina on September 20; Asheville, North Carolina on September 22; Nashville on September 23 and Huntsville, Alabama on September 24. Joy Olaokun will kick off the action at all August and September dates.
