Fast-rising keyboardist/frontman Neal Francis brought his band to CBS Saturday Morning‘s “Saturday Sessions” to perform a trio of tracks from his latest LP, 2021’s In Plain Sight.
The Chicago-based soul singer and his band have already embarked on what is shaping up to be an extensive year of touring. The “Saturday Sessions” snippets showed the national viewing public a bit of the magic that Francis and company have been displaying in bursts for ever-growing crowds at clubs, theaters, and festivals nationwide. From his funky touch on a host of keyboards to his distinctive voice—part Dr. John, part Randy Newman—to his instantly ingratiating onstage charisma, Neal and his five-piece are fast at work gathering new fans.
