Portugal. The Man issued a new single entitled “What, Me Worry?” via Atlantic Records along with a video. The song will be featured on P.TM’s as-of-yet untitled ninth studio album, set for release this June.

“What, Me Worry?” was produced by Jeff Bhasker (Kanye West, Harry Styles) and Ryan Tedder (Adele, Beyoncé). The latter also helmed the band’s forthcoming LP, their first since 2017’s Woodstock. Look for Portugal. The Man to perform “What, Me Worry?” on February 23 during their appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“While recording this album and hanging in LA, we got into a conversation with Jeff Bhasker and Ryan Tedder about how much we missed laughter,” Portugal. The Man’s John Gourley stated regarding what inspired the new song. “The last few years it’s been so easy to forget the fun in what we do. We talked about childhood memories of laughing at the world and ourselves while flipping through Mad Magazine. We missed those days and remembered that we all make music. So we took that afternoon to make a song about it.”

Portugal. The Man, who will soon embark on a co-headlining tour with alt-J, tapped Los Güeyes (Aaron Brown & Josué Rivas) to create the “What, Me Worry?” video. Watch the visual for the track below:
