The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame announced the nominees for the Class of 2022. Beck, Eminem, Dolly Parton and A Tribe Called Quest are among the 17 acts nominated, which includes seven on the ballot for the first time.

Duran Duran, Lionel Richie and Carly Simon join Beck, Eminem, Dolly Parton and A Tribe Called Quest as the first time nominees. Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, Devo, Eurythmics, Judas Priest, Fela Kuti, MC5, New York Dolls, Rage Against The Machine and Dionne Warwick are also on the ballot once again.

Individual artists or bands who released their first commercial recording in 1996 or earlier are eligible for nomination. Eminem, who put out his debut album Infinite in 1996 is the lone artist named today as a nominee in his first year of eligibility.

“This year’s ballot recognizes a diverse group of incredible artists, each who has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture,” noted John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “Their music not only moved generations but also influenced the sound of countless artists that followed.”

Over 1,000 artists, historians and members of the music industry are part of the Rock Hall’s voting pool. Fans can take part in the induction selection process by casting votes via this link through April 29.

The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame’s Class of 2022 will be revealed in May. An induction ceremony will be held this fall. The city, venue, date and ticketing information have yet to be announced.
