The String Cheese Incident will headline both nights of the inaugural Daze Between New Orleans, a two-day festival held in the Big Easy between Jazz Fest weekends. Daze Between New Orleans will take place at Faubourg Brewery on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4 with a portion of proceeds to be distributed to NOLA-based nonprofit organizations through the Rex Foundation.
Snarky Puppy, Eric Krasno & Friends, Nicolas Payton, Erica Falls and Benny & The Late Bloomers join SCI on the event’s Tuesday, May 3 lineup. Cheese then caps the action on Wednesday, May 4 with other performers including Lettuce, Rebirth Brass Band, The Iceman Special, Honey Island Swamp Band and The Rumble featuring Chief Joseph Boudreaux Jr.
Produced by Live For Live Music, Purple Hat Productions, GMP Live and Rose Tours, Daze Between New Orleans will encompass Faubourg Brewery’s taproom, brewery facility and vast back lawn. Fete Au Fete will serve food along with additional local vendors at an event that will also host an Artist Village that includes a gallery displaying the works of NOLA’s own Frenchy.
“To me, Jazz Fest has always been more than just a festival that takes place at the Fair Grounds on two separate weekends,” explained Live For Live Music founder Kunj Shah in a press release. “It’s the food, it’s the culture, it’s the late-night shows. It’s a chance to recapture our love affair with New Orleans during the days between. With this new festival, we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute something special to this city that has given us all so much music, culture, and inspiration.”

Various packages including both single-day and two-day GA and VIP passes go on sale tomorrow (Friday, March 11) at 12 p.m. CT via the festival’s website. Super VIP passes will also be available.
