Brisbane venue The Brightside will set up a double stage to host a lineup of venerable Australian artists this Friday, 11th March, with proceeds going towards the Lismore Flood Appeal.
The big name lineup includes irreverent Brisbane alt-rockers Regurgitator and Phil Jamieson, best known as the lead singer of Lismore’s biggest rock’n’roll export, Grinspoon. Melbourne band The Fauves will also be on hand to conjure an atmosphere of dry ’90s wit.
The lineup’s not completely steeped in nostalgia, however. Contemporary Brisbane act Nice Biscuit will supply the psychedelic garage rock tones. Punk nerds Mitch, Please and dreamy indie rock artist Sammm. will also perform, as well as Seaside, Slowrip and Square Tugs. Check out the complete lineup below. Tickets are on sale now for $56; 100% of proceeds are being donated to the Lismore Flood Appeal.
The Brightside held a Flood Relief show on Saturday, 5th March with sets from Hope D, Asha Jefferies and Flamingo Blonde and DJ sets from Spacey Jane, The Belligerents, Shag Rock and various others. The event raised $18,727.61 for GIVIT to purchase essential items for flood victims in SE Queensland and northern NSW.
