Soulful Birmingham, AL outfit St. Paul & The Broken Bones continued their ongoing tour on Friday evening with a performance at Atlanta, GA’s newest concert destination, The Eastern.

Led by singer Paul Janeway, the group has a busy schedule of tour dates on the books in support of their darker, more psychedelia-focused fourth LP, The Alien Shore, which arrived via ATO Records on January 28th.

St. Paul led the lively festivities with charisma in Atlanta, commanding the stage and even making his way into the crowded balcony at one point to rile up the sold-out crowd.

As Janeway recently told Live For Live Music about turning a new creative page on the new album, “I think there’s always kinda feel that way, especially when you’re in the moment. We knew it was gonna be different. A little more out there. A little more psychedelic. … I think it’s the full bloom of this entire band. You never know. I know for us it hit the mark and was very satisfying. Back in the day when people were given time to make records or albums it was usually around the third or fourth that was like, ‘okay.’ There’s a realization and it all kinda comes together.” Read the full interview with Paul Janeway on The Alien Coast here.
