Pixies recently returned with a new single, “Human Crime.” The group’s first new music since 2020 arrived along with a music video directed by bassist Paz Lenchantin.

“Human Crime” marks the Pixies first new music since their 2020 single, “Hear Me Out.” The group issued their last studio album, Beneath The Eyrie, on September 13, 2019 .

Captured at the San Pedro abandoned bunkers and Gold Diggers Bar in Los Angeles, bassist Paz Lenchantin helmed the music video for “Human Crime.” Paz explained that the visual was inspired by an inside joke he had with Pixies frontman Black Francis, aka Charles Thompson IV.

“The storyline is loosely based on an ‘inside joke’ between Charles and I about going on tour,” Lenchantin said as per NME. “How we go through a door from our reality state into the altered state of becoming and being a Pixie.”
