SweetWater 420 Fest Taps Gary Clark Jr. To Replace Snoop Dogg

SweetWater 420 Fest has announced the addition of Gary Clark Jr. to the 2022 lineup following a cancellation from Snoop Dogg. The Atlanta, GA festival, set to occur April 28th–May 1st at Centennial Olympic Park, did not provide a reason for Snoop’s cancellation.

The legacy rapper was set to open the first full day of the event on Friday, April 29th alongside two sets of The String Cheese IncidentDirty HeadsLotus, and more. This will mark the first-ever SweetWater appearance for the four-time, Grammy-winning guitarist.

Also set to appear at SweetWater 420 Fest are OysterheadTrey Anastasio BandUmphrey’s McGeeGooseJoe Russo’s Almost DeadSnarky Puppy, and many more. The event will open on Thursday, April 28th with a pre-party featuring two more sets of SCI, Oteil & FriendsGov’t Mule, and Empire Strikes Brass.

This comes as the latest substitution for SweetWater 2022. moe. was originally set to perform at the Thursday pre-party, but dropped out as guitarist Chuck Garvey continues to recover from a stroke he suffered in November. The Buffalo, NY quintet’s spot was then filled with Gov’t Mule.
