Today, The Disco Biscuits shared the new single “Lake Shore Drive.” Produced by Cloudchord, the track arrived one day after the jamtronica quartet launched their spring tour at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts and marks the first original studio song released by tDB in over a decade.
“Lake Shore Drive” was debuted live by the Disco Biscuits on August 20, 2021 at Northlands in Swanzey, New Hampshire. The instrumental has been performed five times since as per Phantasy Tour. Guitarist Jon Gutwillig recently mentioned on social feeds the band prepped three songs in his basement studio. The Disco Biscuits last studio album, Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens, came out in 2011.
Tonight, the Disco Biscuits will celebrate the release of “Lake Shore Drive” at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. A livestream is available on couchtour.tv. Last night’s concert in Worcester featured a four-song first set, a second set bookended by “42” and the band’s first “Barfly” since April 27, 2019 as the encore.
