Hannah Wicklund and The Steppin Stones is an American rock ‘n’ roll band from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Wicklund formed The Steppin Stones in 2006 at the age of 9. While most were accomplishing third-grade reading lists, Wicklund was forming a rock ‘n’ roll band.
Playing over 1,500 shows, sharing stages with acts including Kansas, Jefferson Starship, Outlaws, St Paul and The Broken Bones, Jimmy Herring, Rusted Root, Jason Isbell before legal drinking age, Wicklund and The Steppin Stones have evolved over a decade. At 24-years-old, Hannah channels the fresh spirit of rock and soul with raw talent honed through over 2,600 shows played, three completed albums, and festival appearances at Peach Music Festival, Firefly Music Festival and Kaaboo Del Mar.
They’ve come a long way from performing Janis Joplin and Neil Young cover songs, billing alongside acts such as Jefferson Starship, Kansas, and The Marshall Tucker Band.
On Sunday March 20, Hannah will be performing as the headliner at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville, as part of the Nashville Sunday Nights Series. Tristan Bushman will open. The show will be livestreamed on Volume.com and free for all Volume.com members.
